Read the forecast: demand, idle weekdays, no-show risk and pay models
What each Forecast tab shows and how it is worked out, and what to do when it says there is not enough history.
Who can do this: The owner or a manager.
Steps
- Open Forecast. Pick a block from the tabs: 12 months, Idle weekdays, No-show risk, Revenue next 60, Size & breed, Off-peak offers, Pay models, Turnover. The method is under Definitions.
- Press Visualize to draw the chart; nothing is charted until you do.
- 12 months: dogs and revenue, low to high, at your last three months' pace adjusted for your seasons. The ceiling is groomers working times the median dogs a groomer does in a day.
- Idle weekdays: dogs per groomer, no-shows and cancels. An idle chair is the dogs a weekday would add at the best weekday's pace.
- No-show risk: each booking in the next 14 days scored from your history. Low is under 8%, high is 15% and over.
- Revenue next 60: pets due in 60 days at their size's average ticket. Pets 60+ days past due are the lapsed pool.
- Off-peak offers drafts text for you to copy. Nothing is sent. Pay models compares commission, hourly and hybrid from the terms you enter.
What you will see
- Per-groomer figures are measured since a reliable date shown above the block (26 weeks back, or later if a current groomer is newer). Change lists only dates that change the numbers.
