Record a pet's vaccines and read the warning badges

Add vaccine records on the pet's Health tab and understand what Current, Expires soon, Expired and No record mean.

Steps

  1. Open Pets, click the pet, and open the Health tab.
  2. In Vaccines press Add vaccine. Choose the Vaccine (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Canine influenza, Lyme, Fvrcp, Felv or Other), fill in Given on and Expires on, and tick "I have seen the certificate (verified)" if you have.
  3. Press Add vaccine.
  4. On a record you can press Mark verified, edit it, or Remove (then confirm).

What you will see

  • Each record shows Given and Expires dates and Not verified if it is not. A status shows Current (green), Expires soon (within 30 days, amber) or Expired (red).
  • A missing required vaccine reads "No record of Rabies (required by the shop)."

Common problems

"Give the date it expires." or "It cannot expire before it was given."
Expires on is required and must not be before Given on.
"Name the vaccine."
When you choose Other, type the vaccine's name.
The Pets list says OK but the appointment says Vaccines need action.
The appointment also counts an unverified record as needing action. Press Mark verified once you have seen the certificate.

Good to know

  • Only Rabies is required today. You cannot add other required vaccines or change the vaccine list.
  • The warnings are information only. They do not block booking, online booking or checkout.
  • Clients cannot edit vaccines; their account tells them to send an updated record.
